Aromaleigh Cosmetics Ephemera - January 2015 Box

Oh man! Just now noticing that this never went up because I never finished it!! GAHHH!

I was lucky enough to grab a subscription from Aromaleigh Mineral Cosmetics. The Ephemera monthly sub is $15 plus shipping. Currently there is a waiting list and if you are interested in this program I would check out their Facebook for updates!

Aromaleigh is an indie company I have been eyeballing for some time and was thrilled when they announced they were starting a monthly sub. I used this opportunity to get acquainted with the brand. *SPOILER ALERT* I have fallen in love!

The theme for this month is The White Witch from C.S. Lewis's "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe." I was super excited about this because 1) I did enjoy this story when I was a child and 2) the motion picture that came out was visually stunning. As you will see below, this box does such an amazing job representing Jadis with the colors made for this box.

First things first, please look at this packaging. I will probably repeat over and over how thought out this sub is. Every little detail is attended to.

The paper that this comes with is incredibly descriptive with everything from character description to what the colors were chosen to represent. *Note to self: take photos of this because its too amazing to not show off!*

From Top to Bottom: Pale As Icing Sugar (sculpting glisten), Enchanted Turkish Delight (rouge), 100 Years of Winter (eyeshadow), and The White Witch (eyeshadow)

This box contains two eyeshadows, a blush, and a cheek/brow highlight. Enchanted Turkish Delight is lip safe and I cannot wait to play around with this versatile product more. In addition to being a highlight, Pale As Icing Sugar can be used as an eyeshadow. If you look further below you will see a photo of me wearing this as a shadow...it is BEAUTIFUL!

Left to Right: 100 Years of Winter, The White Witch, Pale As Icing Sugar, and Enchanted Turkish Delight

Descriptions
*100 Years of Winter: green brown with white snowflake sparkle (Value $4.50)
*The White Witch: pale-aqua shimmer with gold duochrome (Value: $4.50)
*Pale As Icing Sugar: neutral toned, soft metallic glow (Value: $7)
* Enchanted Turkish Delight: berry with teal glow (Value: $7)

My Take
*100 Years of Winter: as described with green being very subtle; multicolor sparkle
*The White Witch: very pale aqua blue that flashes gold
*Pale As Icing Sugar: as described with a subtle pink tinge to it
*Enchanted Turkish Delight: as described (BEAUTIFUL!!)

As mentioned above, these colors represent something very specific from the novel/movie. See below for full product descriptions (you don't want to skip that!)

This box featured samples from two guest indies, as well as a sneak peek sample from an upcoming Aromaleigh product release "Locusta."

Lip Sample is from Dreamworld Hermetica.I WILL be ordering lip products from this company when they reopen. This lipstick is creamy, thick, pigmented, and incredible comfortable on my winter chapped lips!

Wytch's Heart

Perfume sample is from Ten Three Labs. I love this smell and wear it once a week. Superstition's Willing Victim is described as:

Bay rum, peppermint, tea, lime, coconut, and sugar cane.

This is exactly how it smells on my skin. I pick up every note and its really enjoyable.

Products In Action!

Pale As Icing Sugar over the lid, 100 Years of Winter in the over corner and crease, and The White Witch on the bottom lashline. Enchanted Turkish Delight is worn sheer on the cheeks. Dreamworld Hermetica lip sample on lips.

I am incredibly happy with this first box. I look forward to many months of exciting new makeup! Let me know if you have this subscription and how you are liking it! Are there any other indie subs I should check out?!?
